IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT PRIVATE LESSON SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 04-05 SCHOOL YEAR
If a student has received an NSMA private lesson scholarship from either the Melican Middle School, Trottier Middle School, or Algonquin Regional High School, it is the responsibility of that student, or their parents, to contact the NSMA treasurer as indicated on the award letter they were given.
This is to let the treasurer know the name of the private lesson teacher and address to mail the scholarship money. This will not be done automatically. The student/parent MUST initiate the process by letting the treasurer know who the teacher is and where to send the award.
The award is only valid through June 30 of the school year in which it was given. If not requested by then, the award is lost.
Applications for a current year's scholarships are available in the fall through the music teachers at ARHS, Trottier and Melican Middle schools. Every student in the choral or instrumental programs at the 3 schools is eligible to apply as long as they did not receive a scholarship in the previous school year. Applications will be handed out by each schools' music teacher.
